Kate Grace received the 2013/14 BBM Youth Support Horticulture Award in honour of Sir John Pagan. Kate used her award to travel around the UK, Europe and Singapore learning about the Horticulture industry.

She is now working with YoungHort Australia ambassadors to raise awareness of the Horticulture profession to young people. Kate also recently spoke at the 2015 BBM Youth Support Awards Night sharing her experiences and advice with this year’s Awardees.

“This has been such an insightful and wonderful experience into the industry of horticulture. I would like to encourage anyone who travels to the UK, Scotland, Europe and Singapore to try and visit these gardens and talk to the people who are involved, as getting the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the industry leaders was amazing. They encouraged me to pursue my goals and their willingness to share their knowledge and insights made me feel welcomed and supported.
