Cricket Awardee Dale McKay tops Formby’s batting statistics on his trip to the UK!
Congratulations to Dale McKay (2013/2014 Cricket Awardee) who has recently returned to Australia after an unbelievable 6 months playing with Formby Cricket Club in the UK.
Dale made a significant contribution to Formby’s success topping the club’s batting statistics with over 1,000 runs for a 49 run batting average for the season. However he saved his greatest contribution until the last game of the season. In their final game, Formby beat club rivals Wigan, with Dale scoring a match winning 129 runs not out, his 4th century for the season.
The win confirmed the Formby team as champions of the LDCC First Division and ensured their promotion to the Premier League for the 2015 season. A great outcome as they celebrate their 150th anniversary in 2015! Dale is now playing for Hawkesbury Cricket Club in the Sydney First Grade Competition. We are delighted that Dale had such a great experience in the UK and can’t wait to read his full report.
