“I was lucky enough to represent Australia in a two man team for The Malaysian Amateur Championship. Justin Warren and Myself won the teams event. I finished Runner Up with a score of 8 under par and Justin finished 3rd with a score of 6 under par. Malaysia was a great experience and a very enjoyable trip. It was a huge honour to fly the Australian flag.”

“On June 8 we headed to Castle Stuart for a friendly match against Scotland and South Africa as a warm up for the British Amateur. Castle Stuart was an amazing golf course and it was very cool to play on such a new course that has already hosted the Scotish Open, won by Phil Mickleson. We stayed in a house right next door to Castle Stuart. We ended up winning the teams event but Castle Stuart golf club hosted us very well and it was an
amazing experience.”

“Now it was time to play the Old Course, the serenity was awesome grandstands up and signage, to be at the home of golf it was definitely something special. It is really the only practice round I have played to have a score as it could be the only time that I get a chance to play the Old Course. I heard a lot of rumours about hitting it left was a safe miss at St Andrews and these rumours were true. The professionals and Tiger Woods PGA Tour on PlayStation definitely make it look a lot easier than it is. Playing every hole it felt like such a special place as there is so much history behind it. I’ll always remember my tee shot on 17, the road hole.”

“It was the evening after the final rounds that I met Chubby Chandler the head golf manager of International Sports Management. He explained the importance of signing with a company in the lead up of turning professional and really made us feel like a lucky/special bunch of people to get that opportunity to meet and have dinner with him and hopefully I can keep a good connection with him over next few years.”
