I plan to travel overseas to gain additional experience and learn how what we do in my trade here in Australia differs from other countries. I will then use this experience to improve both mine and my peer’s knowledge, strategies and process, resulting in an overall better and more efficient product. 

I want to travel to Canada because Canada is one of the largest producers of furniture in the world with an annual revenue of 30 billion U.S dollars. This is more than double the total revenue of Australia’s furniture making industry. 

My career goal is to eventually start my own bespoke furniture making company. This experience will help me create a high end, competitive business, right here in Australia. That would employ Australian apprentices, that I would train personally and mould them into some of Australia’s top furniture makers.
