“My name is Robbie Szafranek and I won the BBM Youth Support Award for Scottish Piping and Drumming for the year of 2016. This award gave me the opportunity to travel to Scotland to participate in the World Pipe Band Championships, receive lessons from highly esteemed teachers from the National Piping Centre. Along the way I met people, regarded as some of the best in the piping world, and without this award I would not have had the chance to meet.
