Steff Gardener: Exploring
Steffanni Gardener, 2018 BBM Youth Support Awardee for Drama
Steff left for London on the 24th September 2018 planning to spend a couple of months there. She was the first of this year’s awardees to go overseas, leaving even before her awards night, itching to immerse herself in the artistic scene with its wealth of opportunities in directing and artistic development. With Bristol and Paris yet to visit, Steff has a full itinerary of seeing live performances, taking short courses to refine her skills and exploring community involvement in the performing arts.
Her goal is to run her own company and be able to educate and grow the sector, so she also has a number of visits to performing arts companies to learn how they operate.
Steff is currently completing a Masters of Business (Arts and Cultural Management) and recently finished an internship with Merrigong Theatre Company working with the Artistic team on independent arts and producing.
